Can I record video games with a Kodak ZI6 Pocket Video Camera?

I'm getting one soon.It comes with two SD cards,a USB port cord that connects to it,and an AV cable that connects to it.Now I was thinking that I could connect it to the T.V. with the AV cable,save it to the an SD card,plug it in to the USB port,and transfer it to the computer.Will this work,or is the AV cable just to play videos on T.V.?

Nooooo!!! Don't get one. Lol. I mean, it is a great video camera and yes you can record games on it. But I heard that Kodak is releasing a new model soon and that it will be better and cheaper!

I need help interfacing a Sony Handycam CCD-TRV25 NTSC with my PC. Can anyone help me?

Unfortunately this camera was all that I can afford right now. This particular model doesn't have S-Video, only the yellow and white colored jacks to hook up to the television. I thought there might be some type of conversion jacks available. My other thought was if I could hook the camera to the TV and then use the S-Video from the TV to S-Video jack in my laptop. I know these are probably ridiculous ideas but I'm desperate AND ignorant about this stuff. Please help if you can! Thanks, in advance.

You'll need to make sure that the S-Video jack on your laptop can take a input signal - you're OK if it does. If the S-Video jack on your laptop is for output signals only, then you'll need an AV capture card - for example:

Security Camera Mysteries: What Is Horizontal Definition?

Video surveillance systems used as devices to ensure the security of a home or a business come with a variety of capabilities and functions.

Security cameras within the system also have a number of capabilities, and some are "sharper-eyed" than others.

One of the capabilities a prospective purchaser can look at to determine how clearly the camera can "see" is to look at its horizontal definition.

This capability, which has to do with the quality of the picture display, is usually expressed as a certain number of lines of horizontal definition.

The higher the number of lines, the greater the definition or clarity and sharpness of the picture that the camera can create when it "sees" the image, takes the light in through its lens and then sends an electrical signal to the monitor or other device to be decoded and then rendered as an image.

Think of it like this; a camera is looking at something going on outside in the yard and captures that image.

Let's say that it is capable of rendering 380 horizontal TV lines of horizontal definition ("TV lines" is the standard, along with the number of lines...in this case, 380 of them).

In comparison to a camera which is able to display 320 TV lines of horizontal definition the security camera able to put up 380 lines will feature a picture a bit sharper and clearer.

Today, the typical quality wireless security camera features between 380 and 420 TV lines of horizontal definition. One also sees this standard of the ability of a camera to see clearly and with precision in most mini cameras intended for use in a security setting.

Additionally, many surveillance pinhole cameras (these units are very small) will advertise the number of the lines of horizontal definition as a way to assure a person considering getting one that they're able to see very clearly.

At least for the moment anyway. There are constantly gadgets and new technology popping up every single day. From iPods that fit in your back pocket and fit 4000 songs, to James Bond watches that actually do James Bond "stunts" to 3 inch laptops, we really have a lot of different things to choose from. If I was a billionaire, I would spend all my money on fast cars and gadgets. Lots and lots of gadgets! In this article, I'm going to list my favorite gadget of the moment.

About buying the new type of spy sunglasses DVR(built-in), such as pixels & risk of being deteted?

Whats the difference between spy sunglasses DVR & Wireless spy sungalsses(camera) attached with DVR? As I know, wireless spy cameras are easier detected(by anti-pinhole) than wired ones, and so, does this happen to spy glasses DVR(built-in) likewise? Or because its recorded data is transmitted inside the glassess, it will NOT be detected just like wired ones? And when recording, it will not be bothered by mobile phones signal like wired ones?

Home Security with a CCTV Monitoring System

If you've given any thought to home security you've probably considered a closed circuit television monitoring system (better known as CCTV.)

What you'll have with your CCTV system is at least one surveillance camera, a variety of lenses (pan, zoom and infrared for night vision) to focus on particular areas of your grounds and home, and a VCR (video cassette recorder) that will make a permanent record of what the camera is seeing.

If you should decide you want to provide CCTV security in your home you'll need to do at least one slow walk around your home, making notes as you go, about where you need surveillance, and what areas are the most vulnerable, and in need of protection. While you certainly want to focus on your house - the place where your family's safety is the primary concern - don't neglect to include garage, breezeway, in-law quarters, front and back yard, driveway, alleyway, or any outside fence or gate entrance.

You may want more than one camera in your home. This could be important if your home is large, for instance, and you're regularly in one section of the home while a babysitter watches your children, or a housekeeper performs his or her duties. With the prevalence of home offices this may be especially important, if you're in your office all day with the door shut. Having a separate camera watching that home office may also reduce your insurance bill as well.

Once you've determined what areas on which you need to focus you'll have to measure the areas. The range of area needing monitoring is important to the size of camera or cameras you purchase.

While you can choose five sizes of camera - ranging in size from one quarter to two thirds of an inch, the wisest choices are to go no larger than one half an inch. With a camera one half inch or smaller you'll have a more extensive choice of lenses that will work with it.

There are four different versions of CCTV camera lenses from which you can choose. They are fixed aperture, manual or auto iris and zoom. An auto iris lens is ideal for outside viewing, as it adjusts itself to accommodate changes in lighting. In places where the amount of lighting stays fairly stagnant a manual iris will do. This type of lens requires that you actually make the lighting adjustments by hand. Zoom lenses, just as with any camera, allow you to bring a viewed situation closer to your eye for improved visibility. Some zoom lenses offer a motorized option.

Once you know the number of cameras you're going to need you'll know whether you're going to have to have more than one monitor or whether you can make do with a switcher (one monitor, alternating location views) or a multi-plexer (several locations showing in boxes on one monitor at the same time).

Decide how long you are going to need to record prior to being able to remove and replace the VCR film. If the time you're going to be absent from the home, i.e., unable to remove and replace the VCR tape, is going to exceed 4-6 hours (depending on the VCR) you may not be able to use your household VCR. You may need to upgrade to a commercial quality recorder.
